Global Service Resources is looking for the technical expertise of a Developer in support of ECM projects within the Shared Documentum infrastructure. The Consultant will serve as a resource in support of the current ECM applications, as well as work on new development for both external and internal customers. Such support will include: recommendations to the applications’ design and architecture, working with department’s solution provider on application issues, such as performance, production application support, application programming and/or enhancements, data migration and environment provisioning.


Location: Internal Services Department (Health Care System Division) in Downey, CA


Contract: 12 months with a high chance of extension or permanent hire.


Pay Rate: Open. LA County will choose the candidate with the best skills at the most affordable hourly rate.


Benefits: 3 Sick Days and Group Health Insurance at a Discounted Rate (Kaiser) after 90 full days of employment.


***Travel to other County of Los Angeles offices may be required. Gas and mileage will not be reimbursed, so please factor that into your desired hourly rate. ***


Must Meet ALL Minimum Qualifications:


1. Three (3) years of experience within last five (5) years working as a senior developer with the responsibility of solution design.


2. Three (3) years of experience within last five (5) years working with Documentum 7.x.


3. Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years in developingapplications using xCP 2.x.


4. Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years in developing applications using DFC.


5. Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years in developing applications using Java.


6. Three (3) years of experience in the last five (5) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring and maintaining Documentum software in a Linux environment.


7. Two (2) years of experience in the last five (5) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining EMC D2 software, and EMC xCelerated Composition Platform (xCP) software, including Content Server (CS), xPlore Server, Content Transformation Server (CTS), xCP application server and other xCP components.


Background Information:


The ECM application support needs have increased since the ECM infrastructure was certified as a trusted system in December 2018. There are many new projects that need to be developed and supported. The various projects include new development of internal workflows using xCP and support of various existing xCP applications. This includes:


-Working on the California Children's Services (CCS) to implement a patient chart management system, known as eChart, to electronically capture, index, store, retrieve, and route CCS case management and medical record documents for all staff, including those at the Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) sites.


-The RR/CC achieve of county marriage/birth/death and property documents into Documentum. Including data migration and a native application to retrieve and view documents.


-The eMATS application to electronically enter and track county contracts. Including additional new contracting workflows to the existing application and to enhance existing workflows.


Description of Duties:


-Work with the ECM team to obtain, document and understand customer requirements for all ECM projects.


-Develop business and/or technical requirements documents as needed.


-Using xCP, DQL, Java to develop eCharts Conversion per requirements.


-Install and configure Documentum 16x platform with xCP in HA.


-Prepare, document, and run test scripts.


-Work with customers and ECM team to thoroughly perform unit and system test.


-Work with internal support teams, project team and customers to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve current application issues and other xCP application issues.


-Prepare and implement changes, including system deployments, via the established Change Management process and provide incident reports when requested by management.


-Provide technical assistance, recommendations and/or solutions to the ECM team to improve xCP application system performance, or chronic application issues.


-Work with software vendors’ technical support and customers to resolve issues.


-Provide weekly status reports to team lead for assigned tasks.


-Develop technical documentation for the ongoing and anticipated support.


-Transfer knowledge to ISD staff


The Consultant shall prepare and submit a one or two page Weekly Status Report stating the progress of the technical services assigned by the County's Project Manager or designee.
