We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Lab Supervisor with our Manufacturing Facility/Chemical Plant located in Gregory, TX.

Essential Job Duties:

* Plan, schedule, and direct the Ingleside Laboratory activities for quality control, product certification, manufacturing process control and improvements, and environmental compliance. This includes developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving a wide range of analyses using bench chemistry and analytical instrumentation. Sample matrix includes gases, solids and liquids as raw materials, intermediate products and in-process streams, final product shipments, water and wastewater treatment, and environmental monitoring and compliance samples.

* Execute administrative responsibilities for all lab functions including supervision, training, and development of personnel, budget formulation, cost controls, equipment & supplies procurement, and maintenance to facilities & equipment.

* Ensure all sampling, analysis and quality control requirements are met to satisfy EPA, TCEQ, NSF and other regulatory as well as certifying agencies.

* Lead Ingleside's ISO 9001:2015 quality program. Assure ISO training of all new employees is completed and documented. Facilitate internal and external ISO audits and serve as liaison to ISO auditors and assure follow-up action items are completed.

* Continuously strive to improve analytical procedures, sampling and testing methods, new or alternative analytical techniques and instrumentation, as well as data handling and reporting methods.

* Support manufacturing operation's analytical needs during special performance studies and tests. Provide analytical coverage for process modifications, start-ups, maintenance outages and new process additions..

* Maintain and improve Ingleside LIMS, including automation of instrument data transfer into the system. Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint). Maintain and improve the laboratory intranet website using web design software. Possess knowledge of laboratory instrument control and integration software (Agilent Chemstation, OpenLab, PerkinElmer WinLab, and Lachat Omnion). Work within OCC Time and Attendance software (PeopleSoft) to approve and track laboratory technician hours, SAP for purchasing, cost tracking, and maintenance requests, and assume the role of plant core user for the SAP quality module.

* Serve as Ingleside liaison to other OCC plant labs, the technical service lab, customer service, and the R&D group. Resolve customer analytical service requests, evaluate customer methods of analysis, and provide on-site customer assistance as appropriate. Assist in the evaluation and development of Ingleside Plant product specifications.

* Maintain and foster excellence as a representative of OCC in the workplace, within the industry, in customer relationships, and within the overall community.

* Provide analysis to assure wastewater and storm water regulatory compliance. Issue monthly DMRs, periodic biomonitoring reports, annual DMR QA/QC reports. Assist with TPDES permit maintenance, and periodic agency inspections.

* Support the plant Industrial Hygiene Program to coordinate collection of IH samples and report data to safety engineer.

* B.S. Chemistry or other related science with a minimum of three to five years' experience as a supervisor in a quality control environment.

* Firm understanding of quality control requirements for environmental compliance analysis.

* Knowledge of and experience with gas chromatography, atomic adsorption, HPLC, UV/VIS spectrophotometry, ISE, FIA/autonalyzers, auto titration and Karl-Fisher instrumentation.
