The Security Engineering team is responsible for the end to end delivery of global security solutions and controls, ensuring security sensors are managed across the global estate delivering real-time data to protect the business and its customers.

As the manager responsible for the Security Engineering team in the US, you'll oversee all live service and engineering activities, including maintaining and improving product standards and engineered builds. You will perform the role of Technical Service Owner, ensuring the production service is delivered to the rest of business to a world-class standard.

You'll manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, so you'll need to demonstrate both managerial and technical leadership to provide continuity of live services. The Security Engineering team will drive Worldpay product standards and engineered builds whilst taking into account Security strategy/architecture, business requirements, industry direction, technology innovation and input from 3rd party delivery partners.

Our Security Engineering teams are based in Europe and North America.

Responsibilities:

* Direct line management of the US Security Engineering team

* Works alongside the EMEA Security Engineering Manager to deliver world-class Global Security services

* Manages the development, deployment and execution of Security controls and defences to ensure the protection of Worldpay technology and information systems

* Ownership of US based security systems and controls throughout their lifecycle

* Ensures operational and project commitments for the Security portfolio are met

* Evaluates potential business impacts from security breaches and provides strategic and tactical guidance to business decision-makers

* Recruits and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

* Establishes and implements appropriate standards and criteria for all Security solutions we manage

* Analyzes business needs and establishes priorities for protection of critical systems and operational policies

* Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements

* Establishes operational objectives and work plans by delegating assignments to the team

* Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods and staffing

* Responsible for continual service improvement and management of changes to the service

* Identifies, logs and manages risks associated with the services we operate

* Prioritizes work for the team in line with organisational and GSS objectives

* Reporting against KPIs

* Works with PMs and colleagues in IT to ensure successful and timely delivery of Security projects

* Technical ownership of US security systems and services throughout their lifecycle

* Commercial and licensing planning: working with Strategic Sourcing Management and license management partner to assess commercial impacts associated with proposed projects and environmental changes

* Development of automated services, processes and procedures

* Ensure that all technical and operational documentation is produced and maintained including designs, operating manuals and runbooks

* Ensures that the asset and configuration data for services are up to date and accurate

* Incident management attendance and post incident reviews to ensure that any impacts to services are clearly understood and the resolution steps and activities are followed to avoid future issues

* Ensures that Worldpay Information Security policies and guidelines are applied -- we lead by example

* Team is required to provide 24x7 on-call support for security control technology issues or as required to be brought in

Required Experience:

* Team leadership of equivalent sized teams within a security or infrastructure design and/or engineering organization

* Management of live-service(s) within an enterprise organization

* Design, engineering and implementation of infrastructure solutions

* Project delivery and stakeholder management

* Creation and management of product roadmaps; management of technologies through the product lifecycle from evaluation to retirement

* Experience of engineering standard builds for one or more of the technologies described above

* Technology product selection, evaluation and testing

* Requirements capture and syndication with stakeholders across the business and technology stack

* Vendor management, including experience of contractual/commercial negotiations with vendors

* Experience should be relevant at the enterprise level

Required Skills:

* Team leadership skills: able to build and motivate a team of high performing designers and engineers; provide direction and mentoring to establish an engineering led culture; build an organizational platform for infrastructure leadership to thrive

* Technical excellence: strong technology skills covering the majority of technologies described above

* Communication & syndication skills: capable of translating complex technical concepts in to clear, concise documentation and presentations with minimal reliance on industry jargon. Capable of presenting to a wide audience of stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds. Able to bring stakeholders to a common conclusion in the best interests of Worldpay.

* Control: manage the team's priorities effectively through appropriate date-driven delivery of projects, product engineering and other activities

Desired Experience:

* Degree Level education -- preferably computer science, information security or other technical discipline

* Experience of working in a financial institution with regulatory constraints, such as PCI DSS Compliance

* Knowledge of the global payments industry with a solid understanding of payments transaction lifecycle

* Good understanding of the Agile, PMP or Prince2 project management methodology.

* Good stakeholder management experience.

* CISSP or equivalent qualification

* Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience

Desired Skills:

* Subject matter expertise in one or more relevant technologies, demonstrated through (for example) professional qualification or other recognised award or body

* Project management

* Development and scripting experience

* Modern approach to people management and delivering great results through new ways of working
