Marketing Manager-Local

The Marketing Manager-Local is responsible for developing and executing local residential and business marketing plans and initiatives in assigned markets that drive acquisition growth and brand awareness. The Marketing Manager-Local will assist the Director, Local Marketing in the execution of WOW's local brand and marketing initiatives to drive improved brand health, lead generation, revenue, and subscriber connects for the business. This position will build and cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to drive strategic joint business planning initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below.

* Develops and executes local marketing plans and programs to fulfill specific business needs, including development of strategic objectives, creative, operations, communications strategy, and tracking and reporting

* Identifies, coordinates and executes strategic market specific initiatives including but not limited to events, sponsorships and partnerships

* Provides ongoing market evaluation through customer contact, monitoring of competition, industry trends, market insights, and employee engagement

* Establishes standardized tracking and reporting and communicates daily, weekly and monthly on marketing information to include, but not limited to: program updates, customer leads reports, results scorecard and monthly marketing campaign performance

* Manages on-going compliance with assigned expense budgets and adheres to the invoicing and accrual guidelines

* Provides marketing support to local Residential and Business Sales teams

* Coordinates production of all required marketing and consumer materials while ensuring consistency with company strategy and branding

* Ensures proper usage and execution of brand standards and assets

* Provides excellent internal customer service and maintains open communication with all employees, management and staff

* Performs other duties as assigned

Four year college degree in Marketing or a related field.

Experience/Skills Needed:

* Minimum of three to five years marketing experience or equivalent combination of experience and training is required.

* Previous experience in developing and executing local marketing campaigns.

* Strong attention to detail, organization skills and excellent follow through.

* Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while providing excellent follow-through.

* Strategic thinker who can articulate objectives, develop creative and manage projects to meet those objectives.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to write/edit a variety of marketing communication pieces.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential.

* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with strong customer service skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external audiences.

* Previous Cable TV/Internet/telecom industry experience preferred.

* Travel required.

* Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to communicate and work proactively with internal customers to identify marketing needs, recommend solutions and provide marketing counsel as needed to ensure the most positive business outcome.

Computer Skills:

* Word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet software, email, database software

* Graphic design software experience is a plus but not required
