We are seeking for a Maintenance Engineer with a strong maintenance and repair skills to join our team. This roles is responsible for performing diversified duties to include; install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the seafood processing business goals and objectives.
+ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production season and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during off season.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
+ Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
+ Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
+ Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
+ Comply with safety and sanitation regulations including Lockout/Tagout procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
+ Maintain records of repairs and replacements made.
+ Basic understanding of mechanical issues.
+ Basic shop skills necessary.
+ Maintain a clean, well-organized and safe work area.
+ Prompt, reliable and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
+ Must have the ability to work well under pressure, 12 or more hours per day, 7 days per week.
+ Must be willing and able to work with other departments in a team atmosphere as time allows.
+ Must be willing and able to live and work in confined quarters in a multi-cultural environment.
+ Must always be professional and represent Icicle with the highest standards.
+ Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Maintenance mechanic 1+years and/or production maintenance experience.
+ Experience with welding, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry and electrical skills a plus.
+ Experience using various hand and electrical tools.
+ Ability to work efficiently in fast past environment with little direct supervision.
+ Able to work well with other departments.
+ Must be physically and mentally able to work and live in a remote area.
+ Must be able to pass a drug screen.
+ Pay rate depends on experience. This is an hourly position that is eligible for overtime pay. In Alaska, overtime is one and one-half times the regular hourly rate and is paid for hours worked over 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours are worked in a week.
+ Room and board are included.
+ Transportation is provided from Seattle to remote work site. Return transportation to Seattle is provided upon successful completion of employment agreement.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment during operation is loud enough to require hearing protection. There is exposure to raw fish in the workplace.
