What You Will Do


Service Technicians enjoy the opportunity to use their technical knowledge and skills to maintain the highest levels of upkeep in our communities. Driven by a desire to provide outstanding service, Service Technicians naturally excel at quickly responding to resident requests and following issues through to conclusion to ensure that we deliver the best in apartment living.


As a Service Technician, your primary responsibilities include:


+ Assisting in the process of making all units ready for move-in


+ Responding to all resident work order requests to quickly diagnose and correct any air conditioning, heating, appliance, carpentry, electrical and plumbing issues


+ Performing routine preventative maintenance on building systems


+ Inspecting the community daily to identify any items that need maintenance or repair


+ Clearing snow and ice during inclement weather


+ Working a flexible schedule and sharing on-call duty which requires responding to emergencies in 30 minutes or less


What You Bring

+ High-school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of maintenance experience in apartments, hotels or similar environment is preferred


+ High-school diploma or equivalent and 2 to 4 years of maintenance experience, residential experience preferred


+ HVAC, CFC certification is preferred (required at some communities) and plumbing and electrical certification is preferred


+ Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is preferred


+ Must be able to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and appliances and have a working knowledge of plumbing fixtures, basic electrical circuitry, carpentry and be skilled in the use of power and hand tools (service technicians must supply their own hand tools)

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation, including on-call hours
