Job Description

The candidate must have extensive management experience specific to medical communications, within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries with focus in oncology. Experience in account management is also preferred.

Development and management of Medical Communication assets.

Will collaborate with medical communications team on updating the certification slides and materials. Will play a pivotal role in liaising with vendor developing online training platform to ensure program is developed to high degree of medical accuracy, functional usability, on time and on budget.

Assist in the development of the strategic scientific communications platform and accompanying scientific messages for Tumor Treating Fields across all pipeline indications. Analyses publications for scientific statements and works with senior communications team on periodic reporting

Assist the publication's team as required. Participates on the timely update of the publications library, ensuring its content is readily available for all cross-functional teams.

Assist in the development, QA, fact-checking and updates for all medical affairs materials such as certification slides, medical affairs internal training materials, medical affairs congress materials and other slide decks and abstracts as required.

Provides medical accuracy review and fact-checking support to Promotional Review Committee and Scientific Review Committee process as required. Participates in PRC and SRC meetings as required. Maintains records of source publications and fact-checking reference documents

Will lead congress planning and content development initiatives in collaboration with the Associate Director.

Participates in exhibits meetings collaborating with marketing and operations to ensure certification program and materials is aligned with corporate strategy

Participates in the development of scientific materials to support clinical development pipeline activities at all congresses including booth content and displays

Actively participates in the identification, sourcing, evaluation, hiring and management of third-party vendors as required by departmental project needs. Participates in vendor pitch presentations as appropriate

Understands and applies the current status of industry standards and practice and ensures activities are in compliance with company policy and standards

Competitive Intelligence.

Will lead competitive intelligence monitoring initiatives in collaboration with the Associate Director. Will develop prospective plan for periodic secondary research and primary conference coverage for organization.

Will collaborate with other members of medical affairs team to ensure comprehensive congress coverage, data consolidation and consolidated analysis is completed. Will jointly present C-I reports to internal stakeholders.

Will develop and maintain C-I resource libraries and ensure timely dissemination of news updates to relevance internal stakeholders

Core Competencies:

Able to translate corporate strategies and objectives and apply to medical affairs programs

Excellence in prospective planning, project management, cross-functional collaboration and ability to manage timelines

Strong oncology background, scientific acumen, mastery of statistical analysis and able to analyze clinical and scientific studies

Strategic thinking, naturally inquisitive, detail orientated and able to see the bigger picture

Able to deal with ambiguity, can identify and manage differences through discussion and agreement, as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., PharmD, M.D.) with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry or scientific research experience with focus in Oncology

Only candidates with oncology experience will be considered

An established track record of cross-functional project management and execution

Excellent writing, reviewing, editing and oral presentation skills

Ability to work with a mutli-disciplinary team
