**Job Purpose**

The Marketing Manager is an individual contributor role within the Marketing Strategy Team and integral to the success of supporting marketing initiatives in support of the distribution sales force. This manager will be primarily focused field marketing activities comprised of, but not limited to, demand generation strategy and tactics, campaign development and execution, thematic content development and campaign execution and the development of sales collateral support materials. This individual will also support, as needed, field marketing initiatives and supporting tactics related to product changes and launches, channel support, and regional or territory-based events.

**Essential Responsibilities**

+ Develops and leverages relationships with key external and internal distribution sales team leaders and members to extract region and territory sales objectives to inform the development of supporting marketing strategies.

+ Partners with internal sales leadership to extract internal sales objectives to inform the development on specific areas of Marketing support, development of new collateral and training needs.

+ Leverages industry knowledge and marketing expertise to craft and execute marketing strategies and demand generation tactics in support of regional and territory sales objectives.

+ Partners with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative Services, and other key teams and stakeholders in the development and execution of content, collateral, events and other demand generation strategies and tactics.

+ Optimize programs for success by tracking all aspects of program development and execution to analyze and report results with a keen eye for future optimization based on findings.

+ Develops new marketing ideas and strategies based on Leader’s Council requests.

+ Partners with Advanced Strategies leadership and team members to develop content and materials that support complex sales opportunities.

+ Supports external wholesalers with campaigns, collateral, events and other requests that help build relationships with existing and new advisors.

+ Works with key members of the Marketing leadership team to leverage marketing tools and improve upon existing workflows automation, define success and measure ROI.

+ Shares responsibility of marketing materials queue and sponsor review of materials.

+ Shares responsibility of the Marketing Strategy Inbox to answer questions and serve as a resource to the sales teams.

+ Attends team meetings, sales desk trainings and Distribution Marketing Town-Hall meetings at the Nashville office.

+ Serves as a resource for the sales force for questions on marketing materials.

+ Other duties as assigned to support field, product, investment and channel marketing teams.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

+ In-depth understanding of the financial services industry and distribution sales.

+ Creativity and vision for taking abstract concepts and developing into tangible materials.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong communication and presentation skills.

+ Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen eye for detail.

+ Strong ability to problem solve and present options and recommendations for resolution.

+ Highly collaborative with excellent relationship development and stakeholder management skills.

+ Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, MS Project, OneNote).

+ Proficiency in Salesforce, Seismic, Aprimo and Marketo preferred.


+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience required.

+ 4+ years prior Financial Services marketing experience, with annuity knowledge strongly preferred.

+ Experience working with sales leadership and organizations required.

+ Experience working with financial advisors in any capacity preferred.
