Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job).

* Plan, prepare, issue and control MRP production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet development program and production requirements.

* Maintain MRP requirements, data integrity, and accuracy.

* Ensure shipments are accomplished to maintain contract and internal delivery commitments.

* Configure work orders in preparation for manufacturing release. Ensure kits are free of short material and lower level subassemblies are prepared to meet demand requirements.

* Work with the Supplier Partnerships organization to expedite material that is not confirmed to meet need dates.

* Work with the Operations Program Manager, other project leads or Engineering to ensure Advanced Order BOMs are released to support long lead material procurements on development programs.

* Receive supplier constraints from buyers / commodity team and action accordingly.

* Engage in the engineering change order process to insure correct configuration of material.

* Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, Procurement, Programs, Engineering and Contract Administration.

* Ensures Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System integrity and accuracy by reviewing system data and updating/correcting as necessary. This will include launching cycle count activity to ensure accurate stock counts.

* May lead other department personnel in resolving problems to minimize production workflow impacts.

* Coordinates development and dissemination of contract required documents/reports and represents department at program/project meetings. Reports may include Line of Balance (LOB) charts, MS Project schedules and monthly milestone charts for production.

* Analyzes production requirements and processes to determine required capacity and shop loads.
