Job Description

A large and busy Health Center in Rockland County seeks Medical Assistants for various shifts.The Medical Assistant will work in various departments. Job duties include, but are not limited to: patient care, ekg, vitals, assisting physicians, returning/taking patient calls and various other duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Greet patients in a timely manner and escort them to treatment room;

+ Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit;

+ Perform vitals; blood pressure, weight and temperature, pulse; record in patient chart;

+ Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential;

+ Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions;

+ Change exam room table paper, upkeep of cleanliness of the exam rooms, ensuring all equipment is clean and presentable;

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

+ At least one year of experience in a clinical setting

+ Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus

+ Bilingual a plus
