**Operations Specialist for School-Based Medicaid:**


The Operations Specialist will support the centralized coding function, for our School-Based Services (SBS) Center of Excellence (COE), and within the Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC)/Random Moment Time Study (RMTS) Operations Team. This position’s sole function is to analyze school employee responses to online school-based Medicaid survey questions and then assign a required activity code that best fits the description of the activity. The Operations Specialist will work alongside other Operations Specialists and reports directly to their assigned Operations Specialist Supervisor.


Upon successful completion of the training program, weekly coding completion, timeliness and quality performance standards will be monitored and must be met.


_This is a temp-to-hire 10-month position._


**Responsibilities**


**Responsibilities:**


+ Read and analyze survey responses and determine proper activity code for assigned states.


+ Follow-up with the survey responses that are incomplete or require additional information for assigned states.


+ Keep informed regarding current activity codes for assigned states, coding guidelines and company policy and procedures as it applies to coding and effectively apply this knowledge.


+ Learn new activity codes for non-assigned states as part of profession development opportunities.


+ Participate in coding team meetings as well as assigned state coding meeting,assist note taking of key decisions, action items, and other relevant information.


+ Assist with updating and maintaining internal coding standard operating procedures and state coding guides.


+ Other coding duties as assigned.

+ Ability to learn, understand, and navigate the required functionalities within PCG’s MAC software solution.


+ Ability to work with colleagues in virtual, video-conferencing settings.


+ Curious to learn multiple state coding requirements.


+ Research capabilities to support team coding team initiatives.


+ Technology friendly: Internet and email. Beginner level Microsoft word.


+ Enthusiasm for life-long learning.


**Qualifications**


**Preferred Experience:**


+ High school graduate is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
