Here is a glimpse into what you will do on a daily basis:
Function as part of a team, together as an Operator in Training in Encapsulation, you will help to ensure the quality and quantity of the capsules conform to company’ standards. Initiate starting up and shutting down of machines, handling lockout operations, and ensuring sanitation of the encapsulation equipment that you are responsible for.

+ Department: Production
+ Direct Report: Production Supervisor
+ FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
+ Hours: 2nd Shift (overnight) hours are available. 10-12 hour shifts.
+ Schedule: Available up to 5 days a week. Voluntary overtime at time and a half.
+ Wage: $17.25/hr, PLUS $1.00/hr shift differential if working on 2nd Shift.
+ Ensure adherence to PPE requirements and safety practices.
+ Operate production and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet production standards.
+ Communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
+ Follow written and verbal instructions.
+ Basic Understanding of Solid Dose Manufacturing Principles (encapsulation).
+ Consistent completion of accurate records/documentation (log books & MO documents).
+ Ability to perform, verify, and document SPC recordings within established parameters to include but not limited to; physical attributes, machine adjustments, and lunch & break periods.
+ Ability to perform room and equipment set-up procedures to ensure error free line clearance.
+ Ability to clean, set-up, and troubleshoot ancillary equipment (polishers, sorters, mills, metal detectors, scales, etc.).
Working Conditions on the Production Floor:
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced light manufacturing environment.
+ PPE requirements: safety glasses, respiratory protection, company supplied lab coats, and gloves.
+ GMP gowning requirements: Hair net, beard guard (if applicable), shoe covers, and sweatbands as required.
+ Factory attire.
+ Frequent lifting / carrying (10-50 lbs.).
+ Frequent pushing / pulling (50-300 lbs) and frequent bending and stooping.
+ Frequent handling / gripping (parts, tools, etc.).
