This Patient Access Representative I will assist in the completion and coordination of front-end activities associated with pre-registration and registration in the Patient Access Department. This candidate will also prioritize and coordinates patient registrations from pre-registration through discharge to ensure that patient insurance is verified and requirements are met. Accurately completes patient registrations based on departmental protocols, policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory agencies. Requirements: **High School Diploma or equivalent required. **Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word **Prefer prior experience in one or more of the following roles: **Experience with Patient Access/Accounting – Billing, Collections, Customer Service **Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare patient access, billing, collections, or customer service with a work record that demonstrates: Clear, effective communication skills Demonstrate problem solving skills. Skills in using computers and computer applications Detail orientation.
