Job Position: Patient Account Representative

Location: Rome, Georgia

Employment Type: Full Time

We are a high thriving outpatient physical therapy Central Billing Office in Rome, Georgia and we are currently seeking a strong Patient Account Representative Refunds and Bad Debt to perform billing, re-billing, and collections. The ideal candidate should have current experience working in a similar billing company environment.

Job Duties:

+ Re-bill, upload, and correct claims in the clearinghouse

+ Medicare Advantage accounts receivable follow-up

+ Status unpaid claims and patient accounts

+ Reading remits from insurance payers

+ Appealing claims for reimbursement

Qualifications:

+ High school graduate or equivalent

+ Experience in a billing office and or medical clinic setting, insurance follow-up, and coding and verification

+ Experienced in working with a large volume of medical electronic billing, collections, all aspects of the accounts receivable cycle, and insurance coding and verification preferred

+ Proficient in Word and Excel

+ Previous experience with medical software required

+ Team player attitude, energetic, able to multi-task, with a focus on excellent customer service

+ Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills
