Job Description

The Oracle Hyperion EPM Developer will be responsible for the delivery of solution-oriented applications for Fortune 100 Company utilizing Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) technologies. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as end user main point of contact for Hyperion issues (work with end users to resolve issues)
  • Manage communication to users (e.g., status updates, system and data changes, training schedules, etc)
  • Support and maintain the automated scheduled jobs
  • Metadata management per business requirements
  • Form creation and design; review and modify business rules
  • Design and maintain efficient calc scripts, business rules, templates, macros
  • Responsible for the daily (and cyclical) production operations of the Hyperion applications while maintaining system availability to the user base
  • Maintain and develop Essbase and Planning automation scripts utilizing Linux shell and MAXL
  • Designing the user experience from an end-user planning and reporting perspective
  • Provide requirements gathering, design, development, testing and implementation activities based on business requirements
  • Defining test conditions and test scripts to ensure system stability, validity and data integrity

  • US Citizenship
  • 8 - 10 years extensive hands-on experience with Hyperion Essbase and Planning
  • Extensive experience supporting Essbase, Planning, Calculation Manager, Shared Services, Workspace
  • Strong understanding of EPM infrastructure, design, configuration
  • Extensive development experience with calc scripts, business rules, templates, load rules, MAXL, shell scripts, MDX, Java API, VBA, etc
  • Strong understanding of Shared Services functionality: LCM, security, roles, groups, etc
  • Advanced experience with Linux 5 / Linux 6
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Excellent analytical, research and exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to understand finance and accounting principles
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on projects with minimum supervision while adding value to cross-functional teams.
  • Understands success factors related to geographically diverse teams and multicultural teams and applies mitigation strategies
