Job Overview:
This position supports the Specialty Polymers business in the Global Technology Group and requires close collaboration across multiple functions, including Research and Development, Process Technology Site Teams, and Site Manufacturing Teams. The job location is at the R&D headquarters in Alpharetta GA to allow for strong interaction with R&D product development teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Process and plant design, starting from pilot scale to industrial scale up, through data interpretation and process modeling.
Conduct process simulations/modeling and calculations on unit operations to prepare technical documentation for process design, equipment selection, and manufacturing optimization. This includes sizing and specifying heat exchangers, distillation columns, pumps, and other unit operation equipment.
Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, write equipment and control specifications, perform material and energy balances.
Provide process commissioning support during capital project execution at plant sites
Recommend, design, and implement technical improvement or new technology to improve manufacturing sites competitiveness.
Author written reports detailing technical improvement projects.
Provide process engineering assistance to troubleshoot major operational problems, and maximize asset utilization as needed at manufacturing sites.
Responsible for the application and adherence of HSE and PSM standards and guidelines, including MOC.
Participate in HAZOPS, LOPA, and incident investigation
