By serving as the solution lead and subject matter expert for Oncology Pathways, within the Philips Precision Diagnosis Solutions (PDS) business. You will be responsible for the development and execution of all upstream deliverables for assigned projects including business case, user requirements, global launch and market development plans required by the Product Development and Lifecycle Management (PDLM) process. The role will also manage our academic medical center partner relationships, and work with international markets to scale this high-growth solution.

**You are responsible for**


+ Formulating the upstream product strategy for the Oncology Pathways as part of integrated diagnostics/oncology strategy


+ Upstream roadmap and success of solution, including targets for OIT, ST3, contribution margin


+ Collecting and analyzing market information w.r.t. to mid/long term market developments


+ Translating mid/long term developments in the market into future product plans and identifying the necessary key components for realizing future product ranges


+ Translating product strategies into general product plans (time horizon 3 years) and defining the future product portfolio changes


+ Serving as the marketing core team lead on cross-functional product development teams working collaboratively to achieve project milestones


+ Developing, executing, and supporting all related PDLM deliverables as well as supporting broader innovation strategy across multiple projects


+ Engaging, informing, and managing key project stakeholders within and across business categories and identifying synergies and opportunities for shared platforms


+ Leading voice of the customer initiatives utilizing best practices to clarify important unmet needs and translate into clear innovation targets and user requirements


+ Leading market opportunity assessment and value proposition creation working in collaboration with the advanced development cross-functional team


+ Developing solid financial business cases to support advanced development investments and continued product development


+ Collaborating across the global markets to steward the early development of innovative products that bring the full potential of image guided therapy to a global market


+ Being the subject matter expert on assigned products and therapeutic categories, including market and competitive trends


+ Spending significant time in the field (20%) with sales personnel, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), customers and at industry conferences to stay at the forefront of market dynamics and trends and to deeply understand the market, the clinical environment, the clinical workflow, and our customers’ unmet needs


+ Collaborating on portfolio strategy and prioritization with broader PDS and PD Marketing teams


+ Developing and executing an annual operating plan for assigned projects


**You are part of**


Our highly successful upstream PDS marketing team that is driving innovation and new product launches across oncology domains. You will serve as our partner with key teammates in global markets, R&D, clinical, marketing, regulatory, and health care economics as well as with broader global Precision Diagnosis Advanced Development and Research teams. You will also inform on key customer and market insights that will shape our overall portfolio strategy and future roadmaps.


**To succeed in this role,** **you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following**


+ BS degree required, Advanced degree preferred in the fields of Clinical, engineering or software background desirable


+ 3 plus years’ experience as marketing lead on multiple product development projects, strategic marketing or 5+ years in a related field


+ Understanding of innovation strategy, early pipeline development, market development, clinical applications, and upstream marketing best practices to drive long term business success


+ Solid understanding of product development process best practices including Agile and software development processes.


+ Deep knowledge of medical oncology and molecular medicine workflows


+ Ability to engage with physicians and other allied health professionals to understand customer needs, outcomes, and ability to translate into customer requirements; requires experience collecting Voice of Customer (VOC) in a medical environment


+ Ability to travel up to 25%


+ Knowledge and experience in producing and consuming market research and ability to work with vendors to direct research as needed


+ Strong analytical abilities and the ability to create and understand financial models, market models and business cases


+ Aptitude and flexibility to work with abstract ideas, fast changing environment, and new clinical and technology spaces


+ Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary


+ Ability to competently represent Philips at professional functions and customer meetings, driving deep key customer engagement and insights


+ Collaborative spirit, must enjoy working as part of high performing innovation and marketing teams


+ Must have excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly communicate to all levels of the organization including to PD leadership team


+ Ability to work within a matrixed environment balancing the needs and gaining perspectives of multiple stakeholders.


+ Demonstrated success in recognizing process inefficiencies, identifying solutions and leading change initiatives


+ Sets a standard of ethics and excellence in alignment with the Philips General Business Principles


+ Experience with systems – hardware and software required; experience with imaging systems is preferred


+ International experience; cultural sensitivity


+ Strong desire for continuous improvement and personal development
