AWS Ground Station is a fully managed global Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) that allows our customers easy and cost-effective satellite control, ingest and process satellite data, and innovate with other AWS Services. It provides satellite customers ground station services with no ground station infrastructure commitments, usage-based per-minute pricing, self-service scheduling, and a global network of ground stations in close proximity to AWS Regions so customers can access AWS services, infrastructure and global network within milliseconds of downlinking data from their satellite.
Joining the AWS Ground Station team gives you the opportunity to:
+ Work on a disruptive service that’s still in its early stages
+ Solve challenging problems that will revolutionize satellite connectivity in the cloud
+ Work for a recognized leader in supporting space customers with cloud computing
+ Have direct impact on hundreds, possibly thousands, of users of AWS Ground Station
In this role you will work across the infrastructure, hardware, and software, and product teams to manage requirements, scope and delivery of worldwide AWS Ground Station locations. You will represent the service architecture and technical needs across Amazon. You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles and make difficult trade-off decisions to drive deployment goals and meet our customer commitments.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will represent program status to senior leadership. Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence teams’ decisions and drive secure and scaleable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and changing the way satellite operators communicate with their spacecraft.
