This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program \(FBM\), a 63\-year\-old Program with a long\-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer\! The new **Project Engineer** will support the project management and execution of electrical product updates/refresh\. Use your strong social skills to work with all project partners and affect change\.


In this dynamic role, you will:


• Develop proposals, support negotiations, and lead projects through completion


• Actively lead and balance technical, cost, and schedule requirements for these projects\.


• Project risk identification and mitigation strategy development


• Providing leadership & direction to a diverse Electrical Ground Support Equipment organization in support of the creation and update of Ground Support Equipment\.


• Coordinate Product Team and balance resource requirements through IPT management


**Typically has 5 \- 10 years** of professional experience\.

**Basic Qualifications:**


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education


• Experience leading projects, teams, and development efforts


• Understanding of product life cycle \(development, deployment, retirement\)


• Understanding of risk and opportunity identification and mitigation


• Ability to obtain a **Top Secret clearance** , thus **US Citizenship** is required


**Desired Skills:**


• Project management certification or equivalent


• Subcontract management experience


• Baseline control experience, Earned Value Management \(EVM\), control account management \(CAM\) or equivalent training/experience Support equipment, missile, or production operations experience\.


• Agile methodology experience


• Experience with Jira or other issue tracking tools


• FBM experience would be advantageous


• Proposal development and customer negotiation


• Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills
