Job Summary: Responsible for providing overall administrative and technical management on construction project site from bid preparation through final acceptance by client
+ Provides initial client contact and subsequent communication with Architect to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project.
+ Reviews proposal specifications and drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
+ Assists President to determine types of projects to bid, strategies, techniques, etc.
+ Participates in presentations to clients.
+ Takes the lead in formulating all estimates including negotiated work and solicits outside vendors.
+ Prepares complete estimate for selected projects with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, contracting and maintains appropriate documentation.
+ Valid Drivers License
+ Minimum of 5 years construction estimating, management, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret trade journals, technical documents and equipment manuals, and production reports; ability to write reports and correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and concerns.
+ Basic math, including percentages and ratios: basic algebra and statistics; graphing and spreadsheet skills.
+ Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), craft agreements, jurisdiction, and negotiations; knowledge of engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety required.
+ Requires BA/BS in construction or related field. Equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience may substitute.
