Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Activity Management, the Project Specialist - Commercialization - Portfolio Activity Specialist role will manage commercialization projects for the US market that are produced at HARIBO’s affiliated domestic and foreign facilities and third party vendors, implementation of assigned innovation and renovation strategies as the key liaison between marketing and the foreign facilities’ intercompany departments, and implement process improvements as assigned, ensuring flawless delivery. The Portfolio Activity Specialist also supports other activity management activities as assigned, managing the development, implementation, and flow through of the pipeline process efficiently, effectively and on budget.

Located on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate office in Rosemont, Illinois, the Portfolio Activity Specialist will have 5+ years of experience executing renovation and innovation strategies through partnering with the manufacturing and marketing operations in a CPG environment, preference to food, candy, or confectionary.
+ Manage seasonal and everyday projects from the HARIBO network
+ Act as U.S. contact for intercompany portfolio departments at overseas factories for seasonal items
+ Handle seasonal and everyday transfer projects when moving items from one factory to another
+ Manage portfolio portions for execution of U.S. co-manufactured items, both seasonal and non-seasonal
+ Work with internal stakeholders in U.S. to ensure adequate pipeline of projects
+ Responsible for factory item setup workflow and item maintenance (changes to items) workflow for corporate and factory
+ Responsible for packaging artwork workflow using Wave software
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience executing renovation and innovation strategies through partnering with the manufacturing and marketing operations in a CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods environment, preference to food
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
+ Knowledgeable of German, Turkish, or Brazilian Portuguese language a plus
+ Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
+ Exceptional organizational skills and ability to lead multiple projects and assignments
+ Strong communication skills, interpersonal, oral, written and presentation
+ Highly motivated, critical thinker, goal oriented and adapts easily to change
+ Ability to lead, develop, direct and hold others accountable to HARIBO’s high standards
+ SAP experience preferred
