About the role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
+ Provide assistance to management in carrying out changes to the food safety system of the facility; assist in developing, reviewing, validating, and maintaining food safety and quality system documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and programs working in collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Quality Systems team; provide assistance in maintaining record keeping, training and documentation.
+ Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance to the Food Safety and Quality Systems of the facility; perform formal GMP audits.
+ Ensure training of facility personnel on cGMPs, Risk Preventive Controls, Hazard Analysis, pre-requisite programs, and other applicable food safety and quality systems elements as required; find out new areas where trainings are required
+ Record and submit samples to outside labs for analyses per request; establish professional relationships with external labs used by the facility
+ Learn and maintaining special sampling requirements for company and customers and when required analyze/submit samples
+ Immediately report Food Safety and Quality non-conformities and deviations to the Quality Assurance Manager. Placing product on-hold for further evaluation and providing documented reports and track and trend data when applicable.
Qualifications and skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred
+ 1months to 2-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
+ Appropriate English language ability in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, bills of lading and other related shipping documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
