Job Description

The RN Regulatory/Quality Coordinator position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza and Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital in optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The RN Regulatory/Quality Coordinator is responsible for advancing the organizations continual regulatory readiness, coordinating and supporting performance improvement activities including hospital-wide and service line clinical excellence, patient safety initiatives, and quality control/assurance according to the strategic plan at The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza and Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure/Certification
  • Current RN license required.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
Education
  • Bachelors degree in related field.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in quality management with current knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Minimum of five years acute care clinical nursing experience required.
Special Qualifications:
  • Must have the ability to design and develop performance measures, experience in data analysis and statistical processes, strong oral and written communication skills, experience in facilitating performance improvement teams and clinical experience that provides necessary knowledge and skill to develop clinically focused quality initiatives for service line development.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with hospital, medical staff and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficient with patient chart review, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
