Summers off (But will have the ability to work PRN or PT during this period)
1 Week off for Spring Break

+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in acquiring a BSN
+ 2-3 Years of RN Experience
+ Ability to Multi-Task and be flexible
+ Customer Service Experience
+ Loves to work with kids
+ Minimal Scheduling conflicts and minimal time contraints
The Ascension Seton AISD School Health Team (“Health Team”) is committed to providing safe care for students during school hours in collaboration with AISD school staff. Registered Nurses lead each campus Health Team, which may include Clinical Assistants.. Care is provided to students on-site by members of the Health Team, with unlicensed personnel working under the direction of the Registered Nurses. Not all services listed are provided by all Health Team members; the Texas Nurse Practice Act designates which activities and services are RN-only. Services are provided for students from 3 to 22 years of age and include:
Illness and Injury Care? Illness and minor injury care, emergencies, and referrals? Chronic health conditions
? Behavioral health conditions (early intervention and crisis support)
Medication Administration? Medication administration during the school day, documentation, and reconciliation? Training of AISD staff to administer medication
Immunization Compliance? Monthly identification of students needing immunizations
? Parent notification? Referral to community services
State Mandated Screenings? Hearing
? Vision? Risk Assessment for Type 2 Diabetes
Case Management? Allergy/Anaphylaxis
? Other chronic health conditions? Diabetes
? Section 504 Program? Pregnancy? Asthma? Seizure? ADHD
? Special Education Students eligible under Other Health Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc.
Health Education? Student/Individual or group (hand washing, growth and development, health, nutrition, etc)? Parent? AISD Staff (skills practice for emergency medication administration, and individualized, student specific training as required by Individualized Health Care Plans, IEPs, and 504 Plans)
Communicable Disease Outbreak? Reportable Communicable Disease
? Outbreak of any infectious disease
? Medical providers? School staff
? Community agencies? AISD District Support Services
Crisis Intervention? Behavioral health? Other threats to student or staff health on campus
What You Will Do
+ Participate in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of student care.
+ Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
+ Oversee student care while at school. Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel within scope of license.
+ Participate in the surveillance and prevention of communicable diseases. Comply with reporting guidelines.
+ Educate students, family members and faculty. Promote a wellness environment and ensures the health, comfort and safety of students.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
