Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Syracuse, NY for a early career Systems Engineer supporting Ground Based Air Surveillance Radar \(GBAS\)\. As an early career hire on our Systems Engineering team, you can help us take on the world’s most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems by applying extensive technical expertise to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity\. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers\. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail\-focused, team\-oriented, and capable of multi\-tasking\.

The Product Line Systems Engineer will assist the AN/TPQ\-53 Lead Systems Engineer in the maintenance and development of Systems Engineering artifacts including requirements, architecture models, and documentation for the AN/TPQ\-53 RADAR system\. Successful candidates will be able to perform architecture definition, requirements decomposition, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems\. Having a product line mindset and understanding interconnections between requirements, architecture, and analyses is critical\. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal\. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints\. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

\- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related technical field with 1 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree

\- 1\+ years’ experience developing system requirements, interfaces, and architectures using MBSE tools and techniques

\- 1\+ years’ experience and working knowledge of SysML

\- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance once in role

**Desired Skills:**

\- Model Based System Design, Test Automation, and Agile development experience preferred

\- Experience with developing DoDAF views for System Architecture artifacts

\- 2\+ years’ experience with IBM Rational DOORS

\- 2\+ years’ experience with Pure Variants

\- 2\+ years’ experience with Rhapsody or MagicDraw

\- 2\+ years’ experience in technology integration of complex systems

\- 2\+ years’ experience working within a System Development Life Cycle

\- Understanding of RADAR processing, design, and development preferred\.
