The Recruiting Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and assessing the recruitment strategy and employment branding, as well as full cycle recruiting including interviewing, sourcing, attracting and hiring candidates for open positions, and pipeline candidates.
+ Develop and drive Methuen’s recruitment strategy
+ Manage the hiring process of all company-wide positions and ensure Hiring Manager is assigned to all open jobs and regularly check BirdDog ATS for activity
+ Ensure requisition sheet is completed for all new/replacement positions
+ Maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions, work with all levels of management to determine core competencies & identify appropriate sourcing mechanisms
+ Source candidates, screen sourced candidates and make recommendations to hiring managers
+ Ensure policies are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
+ Lead weekly recruitment meetings
+ Work with Recruiting Coordinator to post jobs to BirdDog ATS and manage postings on all external job boards, career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, local colleges, etc.
+ Work with Recruiting Coordinator to schedule and confirm interviews with candidates and follow up post-interview
+ Review drafted offer letters along with the Director of HR and Hiring Manager and send approval to Recruiting Coordinator
+ Upon receipt of signed offer letter, prepare Teammate Referral Bonus paperwork as applicable to Director of HR
+ Manage all candidate activity in BirdDog ATS – Ensure notes are updated in BirdDog ATS post interview for all candidates, update disposition codes, send close out emails, etc.
+ Manage the BirdDog Onboarding process
+ Send Pre-Adverse and Adverse Action Letters
+ Troubleshoot ATS questions by Hiring Managers/Interviewers
+ Manage the Predictive Index software and properly utilize the tool for recruiting
+ Manage recruitment budget and organizational recruitment plans
+ Constant evaluation of all implemented programs’ effectiveness and adjust accordingly for continued success
+ Ensure job openings are publicized via appropriate recruiting avenues, social media, print advertisement, professional organizations, etc.
+ Work with Recruiting Coordinator to coordinate and arrange attendance at spring and fall college career fairs
+ Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads, and maintain regular contact with future candidates
+ Communicate with and manage external recruiters as needed
+ Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation
+ Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple task and projects while functioning effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives
+ Must have a high sense of urgency, willingness to succeed, and a team player mindset.
+ Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
+ Gather and analyze data and information skillfully
+ Excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills
+ Ability to work with all levels within the organization
+ Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making consistent with departmental and organizational objectives
+ Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s Degree in related field desirable
+ Experience dealing with high volume recruitment and hard to fill positions required
+ At least 7 years recruitment experience, which includes at least 2 years’ experience in a construction or fabrication/manufacturing environment
+ Knowledge of successful sources for heavy, civil industrial recruitment candidates highly desirable
+ Advanced presentation, phone and computer skills, competency to learn additional applicable software, knowledge of various HRIS and ATS platforms required
+ Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, State, and Local laws that govern recruitment and employment desirable

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 10-25 lbs.
