Identifies the physiology and pathophysiology of the immediate newborn period and uses this information to plan nursing care which fosters newborn adaptation.
Performs a comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum assessment.
Performs a newborn assessment.
Prepares the delivery room for cesarean delivery, maintains a surgically safe environment during surgery, and provides care to the patient during the intraoperative period.
Performs an emergency vaginal delivery in the absence of a physician.
PA RN License required.
2-3 years current Labor and Delivery experience required.
NRP & CPR certification.
