The Registered Nurse(RN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) throughout the continuum of care. The RN coordinates patient care provided by health team members utilizing interpersonal and teamwork skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs patient assessment and care planning, considering the patient's age group, severity of condition/disease to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning needs. Plans and implements the plan of care with input from the patient/family and other members of the healthcare team. Formulates a goal directed plan of care which is prioritized and bases on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes. Implements care in a safe, knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner. Evaluates effectiveness of care given by healthcare team members. Evaluates the effectiveness of equipment and processes for achieving positive patient outcomes. Recognizes significance of changing patient condition and revises plan of care based on ongoing assessment and evaluation. Adheres to the safety policies and procedures of the organization. Recognizes and reports potential safety issues. Demonstrates ability to utilize bio-medical equipment. Identifies patient/family individualized learning needs and implements measures to meet these needs based on patient/family capabilities to learn. Maintains confidentiality and actively support patient/family rights. Supports and contributes to organizational cost-saving initiatives. Participates in unit/divisional Professional Clinical Practice. Serves as patient advocate. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have current registration and licensure in the State of Ohio One to two years of Medical-Surgical Nursing preferred, or experience in specialty. Must have current registration and licensure in the State of Ohio Hours Hours per pay period: 72 Hours: 7:00am to 7:30pm Rotating every third weekend and holidays. May be required to float to other nursing departments.
