Job Description

**Main Purpose of the Role:**

Mission is to increase the company's revenues with new business, focusing on acquiring new Small customers. Generate profitable business for ZIM from the small customers segment. Identify areas of growth and potential opportunities, constantly work to increase sales contribution in designated areas of responsibility and manage the defined sales process for assigned customers and prospects.

**Main Tasks:**

Hunt for new small customers

Prospect for best fit potential customers using various direct methods such as face to face meetings, calling and indirect methods such as networking

Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers to achieve assigned sales quotas and targets

Identify potential customer issues and solve them in collaboration with the sales/trade/CS team

Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales

Business Development and interfaces

Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell to existing customers (VAS services) in the segment

Analyze customers' sales potential and plan activities to increase share of wallet

Identify competition's products vs ZIM's

Cultivate strong relationships with interfaces to deliver full and fast solutions to customers

Process planning and monitoring

Develop strategic and tactic sales plans of the field to accommodate personal and corporate goals

Forecast growth potential and proposed steps for growth in destinations that suits ZIM

Monitor and report sales goals/targets/KPIs in line with company's objectives

Leverage the sales Smart Tools to support results achievements

Analyze relevant customers for targeted sales campaigns and build a work plan to increase sales


* Academic education: Economics/ Business Management/ Marketing/ Logistics/ International Negotiation - preferred

* Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sales or marketing position in FFW/ NVOCC/ shipping.

Sales Account management experience - preferred

* Working experience in a local FFW/ global company/ shipping industry - preferred

* Proficient in MS Office

* Excellent control of country's local language. Good control of English language (Speaking, reading and writing)
