Overview:

Client is looking for an Agile Scrum Master who is a change agent to drive software development agile teams to deliver business value and enjoys challenges in making process improvements. This team provides leadership, capabilities, hands-on technical implementation assistance, and training to application teams. The team develops and implements formal software release and software testing capabilities including all necessary scorecards and reporting and enables application teams to deliver business value, improve security posture, and reduce technical debt.

Role:

  • Guides the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
  • Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and demos with team and Product Owner/stakeholders
  • Assists with backlog creation, grooming, and prioritization.
  • Supports and educates the Product Owner with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Removes or guides team to remove impediments.
  • Maintains and publishes agile metrics.
  • Maintains software release schedule and act as a liaison between application teams to ensure proper communication.
  • Serves as a coach while empowering team self-organization and self-management.
  • Cultivate robust and sustainable working relationships between application teams and a cross-functional team environment.
  • Makes recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance effectiveness.
  • Adheres to internal SDLC and review processes and standards.


  • Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years minimum experience as a Scrum Master. Proficient with JIRA.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Experience in leading process improvement and/or change initiatives, especially as it related to DevOps is a plus.
  • Self-motivated driver able to make progress despite obstacles and to solve problems.
  • Strong time management skills and sense of timeliness in meeting commitments.
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts and technologies a plus.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills.
  • Exceptional facilitative skills, must be able to lead and demonstrate value add principles with transparency (e.g. desire to bring disclosure and grow trust).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
