Security Sergeant

What you get to do:

As a Security Sergeant, you will lead the Security Team through daily operation of the Park on both Operating and Non-Operating hours to ensure a safe atmosphere for our employees and guests. This position will balance Security/Law Enforcement practices with that of Safety including Medical Response procedures, Fire Prevention, and Incident Management. You will:

Complete independent projects and assignments

Source new initiatives, practices, and technologies to be utilized by the Department

Develop and Train a Team of Officers on Park Policies and Applicable State and Local Laws/Ordinances

Provide guests, employees, and vendors with safe and secure environment

Maintain and enforce safety standards

Work independently or within in Team providing a consistent message and Security presence

Monitor Security checkpoints and posts – inspecting all bags and persons accessing or leaving the property

Complete routine patrols of the Park and surrounding properties on foot and in patrol vehicles

Respond and provide aid for Emergency situations

Complete assigned tasks from management as needed

What it takes to succeed:

Minimum 2 Year Security, Law Enforcement, or comparable experience

Must be available to work shift work rotations including: 12:00AM-8:30AM; 8:00AM-4:30PM; 4:00PM-12:30AM (Monday - Sunday) including holidays

Experience training and implementing new policies and procedures to a staff with a varying background and experience

Be at least 18 years of age

Must have a valid driver’s license

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to work with large crowds and high-pressure situations

Physically active and able to stand and walk for full shifts

Ability complete all legal, company & department training requirements within established timelines

Proficiency with computer hardware and software

Experience in completing Incident Reports
