Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join the Controller organization of GTT. This is a new role supporting the Director of Financial Reporting preparing information made available to multiple external stakeholders. You must enjoy a fast-paced environment that centers around merger and acquisition activities and integration efforts that ensure acquisitions are integrated within six months.

An effective Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting has good knowledge of accounting principles. In this role the Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting contributes to the accounting and financial processes of the Company to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and an effective control environment. You will report to the Company's Director of Financial Reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assists in the preparation of the Company's SEC periodic filings, including 10-Q and 10-K filings as well as pro forma financial statements as necessary for significant acquisitions.

* Prepares and reviews supporting schedules and documentation for SEC filings.

* Works directly with the Director of Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy of financial results.

* Researches and remains current with new technical accounting standards to ensure proper US GAAP reporting.

* Assists with technical accounting research and drafts accounting issue papers to support the Company's accounting reporting positions, and other ad hoc projects as needed.

* Coordinates with external auditors, internal auditors, executive management, legal, tax, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits.

* Supports the annual external audit and quarterly reviews as well as statutory audits, as necessary.

* Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met for relevant areas, including financial reporting.

* Prepares reports and documents with a strong attention to detail with auditor-style documentation skills.

* Performs other projects as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

* Certified Public Accountant

* 3+ years of public accounting or corporate financial reporting experience. Large public accounting experience preferred

* Understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations

* Ability to build strong working relationships with operational and financial personnel

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

* Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and accountability

* Ability to multi-task, adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities, and deliver high quality work in a high-paced environment

* Proficiency in Excel and Word

* Experience working with Oracle Fusion (Cloud) preferred
