The Senior Attorney position reports to the Assistant General Counsel- Federal and works collaboratively with the legal team that provides legal advice to Lumen’s: federal contracts organization, federal sales organization, federal procurement organization, industrial security organization, program management organization, federal billing organization and marketing organization.
**The Main Responsibilities**
+ Handles routine legal matters independently and provides advice on more complex tasks depending on years of experience with or without supervision from more senior attorney
+ Acts an extremely high-level individual contributor
+ Applies an understanding of federal government contracting, federal compliance and federal claims matters to a broad scope of civilian and DoD sales segments
+ Reviews and negotiate a variety of contracts including but not limited to Nondisclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, procurement master services agreements/ master reseller agreements,
+ Helps further the status the federal legal department as a valued partner within the company
**What We Look For in a Candidate**
+ JD degree; in compliance with the rules, including licensing rules, of the State Bar in the state where the attorney is officed
+ 6-8 years of legal practice
+ Substantial experience with leading, structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements, providing risk mitigation strategies after RFX reviews, provide pre award and post award protest strategies, procurement master services agreements/ master reseller agreements, federal FAR and DFARS compliance and the federal claims process
+ Eligibility for a security clearance
+ Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
+ Enthusiasm to develop subject matter expertise in one or more areas that benefit the business
