Your Role and Responsibilities
The candidate will be engaged with our strategic partners to provide the end-to-end solution to modernize and migrate their most critical applications to cloud. That includes:
+ Working with partners in their journey to cloud by assessing and architecting solutions by providing expertise on migrating/transforming workloads across:
+ Cloud-to-Cloud (Virtual machines, cloud database, audit, networking etc.);
+ Traditional enterprise migration to Cloud (lift/shift vm, containerize (monolith, microservices)
+ Cloud Native transformation (Refactor for cloud, Kubernetes)
+ AI enhancement and automation (data science and machine learning, Watson NLP and bespoke AI)
+ Cloud to Edge Deployments (Enable workloads and policies for autonomous Edge deployments at scale).
+ Being responsible for improving awareness and mindshare for IBM Cloud and Cloud Paks through education and workshops as well as working closely with our strategic partners to modernize, containerize and migrate their applications to public cloud, such as IBM cloud, AWS, Azure and GCP.
+ Architecting and designing the cloud native applications and microservices and provide solution for a secure deployment to OpenShift on IBM cloud.
+ Using the modern techniques like IBM Garage method with IBM Cloud Paks for quick, smooth and secure cloud migration with added governance.
+ Implementing DevSecOps using CI and CD pipelines in Jenkins and Tekton tools to automate the build, deployment and release process and create applications POCs and present it to business folks and other stake holders and will lay down the cloud infrastructure VPC, VM, IAM, OpenShift cluster, etc. using Terraform scripts.
+ Being accountable to remove any impediments or blockers to help scrum development team smoothly deliver their tasks.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 10 years of IT experience with the last 5 years working with cloud related projects.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
+ At least 3 years of experience in any of the following skill sets:
+ IBM cloud, IBM Cloud Paks, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, Docker, Microservice, DevSecOps, Jenkins, Tekton, GitOps, Cloud Applications and Cloud Security.
+ Bilingual Spanish preferred.
