The incumbent can work out of our Century City or Downtown LA location.

* Provide commercial loan (C&I) and commercial real estate (including construction loans) underwriting support

* Perform comprehensive analysis of new and renewed commercial loan applications and accompanying financial documents to determine the potential borrower's credit worthiness

* Assist Relationship Managers in determining level of interest for new credit opportunities and in structuring new credits to be submitted for approval

* Prepare the comprehensive Credit File Report (CFR) on loan transactions, to be submitted for approval. Complete with appropriate supporting information including loan structure/pricing analysis, borrower history/experience assessment, historical and projected financial statements spreadsheets, tax return analysis, credit report review, collateral evaluation, and repayment/risk analysis.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a business related field. Minimum of 5-7 years commercial and real estate underwriting experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of financial and tax accounting, general underwriting, and analytical skills as wells as knowledge of credit risk principles. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
