Senior Marketing & Communications Manager
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and implement external and internal communications and related activities in support of business objectives and strategies. The scope of this role includes strategic planning, managing external and internal communications and content development.
What you’ll do:
+ Plan, edit and create content for a variety of internal communications mediums, including e-mail, newsletters, the employee intranet, and other platforms.
+ Expand, plan, and drive a communications strategy in conjunction with executive leadership and senior managers and adjust the communication plan as needed.
+ Work with people at every level, keeping them informed of positive developments in the company and building the Aldridge brand.
+ Develop an understanding of the company’s goals and core values and build employee commitment to them.
+ Advise executives and managers on effective communications and help them maintain a positive relationship with employees.
+ Ensure that internal communication messages are consistent with the Aldridge brand/external message, across all mediums, for all divisions/departments, and at every remote office location.
+ Support the use of our social media channels to communicate with both internal staff, prospective employees, key stakeholders, and clients.
+ Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluates realistic options; and recommend and implement appropriate course of action.
+ Act as media and public affairs liaison and spokesperson as required.
+ Collaborate on community and charity events/obligations.
+ Facilitate communications with the site project employees and community as required.
+ Perform assessments of site communications channels, processes, and procedures, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Maintain a positive image for Aldridge on site and in the community.
+ Prepare internal presentations and manage consistency of our presentation platforms.
+ Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form.
+ Coordinate employee meetings and face-to-face outreach efforts.
+ Suggest what information should be presented to employees.
+ Oversee and support social media platforms.
+ Organize and prioritize a variety of tasks in an effective and timely manner, sets priorities and meets deadlines.
+ Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, and procedures.
+ Track and report metrics to demonstrate effectiveness of communications programs.
+ Stay current on communications best practices and trends and integrates into communications programs.
+ Support the Aldridge brand.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, English or equivalent combined with substantial previous work experience in the Communications field and minimum of eight to 15 or more years of related work experience.
+ Previous construction site experience is a plus.
+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels inside and outside the organization in fluid situations.
+ Confidence to deal directly with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them.
+ Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the ability to source stories from employees and company leaders.
+ Creative ability to devise communication strategies.
+ Media relations experience especially with issues and crises.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and oral presentation skills.
+ Proven efficiency in project and time management – self-starter with ability to manage own workload.
+ Ability to influence without authority and work well together in a project team.
+ Spirit of collaboration especially with client and owner communications professional colleagues.
+ Working knowledge of technology-based communications (Internet/Intranet, social media and other vehicles and their use as part of a strategic communications plan).
+ Ability to think and plan strategically.
+ Flexibility for adapting in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to produce consistently high-quality work within tight deadlines.
+ Demonstrate flexibility and ability to remain positive and calm under pressure.
+ Sensitivity to diverse work force, languages, and cultures.
