Senior Security Analyst

Security Engineering Team | Santa Clara, CA, United States

Your goal to improve the education process and better the lives of students by keeping their data secure.

Role: Senior Security Analyst

Responsibilities:

* Define and implement best practices for SLA for remediation issues

* Develop and deploy security training for teams of engineers and other functions

* Responsible for auditing systems and processes (product, development, test, corporate and others)

* Participate in architecture reviews for upcoming projects and facilitate and represent the security requirements that need to be considered and implemented

* Improve quality assurance process by adding security validations

* Monitor, report and present industry trends

* Responsible for auditing security and fraud profile of companies considered for acquisition

* Demonstrate strong leadership, responsiveness, and creativity in the day to day data security activities

* Develop, maintain and update security policies and procedures.

* Coordinate and help organize teams to respond to security events

* Implement and maintain IDS/ IPS solutions

* Manage third party security vendors

* Align tactical plans, daily operations, and specific projects with requirements and needs for data, systems and process security

Qualifications

* Minimum 5-7 years of relevant engineering experience

* 4+ Years of relevant work experience

* Minimum of BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Security and Technology, a related field or equivalent work experience, with a Master's degree, preferred

* Experience in working in a highly dynamic, growing business environment

* Strong demonstrated experience in understanding engineering concepts, processes, and development as they relate to security needs

* Experience with IDS, Pen Testing, Risk Assessment, Bot Detection

* Engineering architecture, design experience a plus

* Project Management experience

* Vendor Management experience
