Job title: Senior Specialist, Social Media Performance & Listening

General Summary: The Social Media Performance and Listening Senior Specialist will monitor and assess social data across various owned and earned channels impacting DSW, several retail categories and competitors. This role is responsible for developing and delivering custom social media reports to influence creative and business decisions. The specialist role reports directly to the manager of content strategy & social media.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Social Media Listening

* Establishes and monitors best practices for measuring the impact of DSW social media messages that drive sentiment and key KPIs

* Collaborates with key stakeholders to align on topics, social media listening measures/filters to deliver on specific objectives and deliverables for custom reports.

* Responsible for supporting manager in the creation of a detailed analysis of campaigns/events to develop and present an actionable insights report

* Provides information and context to assist in problem solving

* Sets-up listening tools and monitoring program, inclusive of keywords, query parameters and the overall dashboard to uncover key customer needs and meaningful insights

* Takes initiative and refines queries to dig deeper on a topic or update formulas to ensure accurate and insightful information is available for the reporting period to inform cross-channel work

* Pulls and interprets data from listening tools: volume, sentiment, conversation drivers and influencers

* Responsible for developing and delivering key weekly, monthly and campaign specific reporting

* Conducts regular audits of tool and new partner capabilities to ensure measurement systems meet business needs and drive meaningful insights; Recognizes opportunities for tool improvements and recommends to manager

* Leverages trend analysis tools to read the customer conversation across key social channels to inform brand and campaign content planning strategy

* Demonstrates awareness of industry trends and shares information with team

Social Media Content Performance & Channel KPIs:

* Establishes and monitors best practices for measuring the performance KPIs for DSW and competitor social media content and accounts.

* Develops meaningful content analysis reports to influence creative, social paid and social organic deliverables

* Identifies tools to uncover information about the DSW organic audience and identifies opportunities the brand must leverage to establish authentic connections with content

* Clearly articulates content performance based on data, media type, trends, platform algorithm tendencies, network updates.

* Partners with cross-functional paid media and ecommerce performance partners to leverage business data where necessary to complete the reporting insights

Influencer Reporting:

* Recommends content and profile measurement KPIs for brand influencer program

* Leverages influencer measurement tools to develop regular reporting with actionable insights

* Researches and recommends future influencers for program

* Partners with cross-functional paid media and ecommerce performance partners to leverage business data to complete the reporting insights and understand the total impact influencers have on the DSW business

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Synthesizes information and produces insightful and accurate analysis

* Experience in measuring and interpreting digital and social media (paid and organic) analytics

* Strong strategic understanding of social media listening from a business perspective

* Understands how to organize and execute test and learn programs to inform business decisions

* Ability to analyze trends & innovation in social media measurement, both models and tools

* Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of retail social media, ecommerce (mobile + web); Passion for digital technology

* High level of critical thinking and curiosity, particularly in balancing multiple projects and priorities.

* Independent thinker; resourceful approach to getting things done; Strong attention to detail

* Strong relationship development and written/verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications


* 3+ years of digital analytics measurement

* Experience in measuring and interpreting digital and social media (paid and organic) analytics

* Digitally-focused marketing experience; Experience with ad platforms


* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field.

Software Competency:

* Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint

* Experience pulling data from social media listening/analytic tools such as: Radian6, Spredfast, CrimsonHexagon and digital tools such as; Google Analytics
