Job Summary: Provides technical and operational subject matter expertise on command and control systems within the NORAD Air Defense System. Supports crew positional training during Army Air Defense Exercises by way of role playing Joint command authorities and operational positions within a Joint Air Defense Operations Center. Familiar with Tactical Display Framework used for US Army Air Defense units. Attends Initial, Midterm, and Final Planning Tele-Conferences' for Joint Air Defense Exercises as required. Replicate simulated Domestic Events Network, and Venous "Chat" inputs related to the operational exercise. Observe, analyze, and role-play various C2 operational job functions for simulated exercises and actual Live Fly Exercise events. Review and analyze performance and provide input via Lessons Learned and after action reviews. Produce CONOPS/CONEMP/TTPs documents when required. This is a PART TIME position totaling 100 to 300 hours per year participating in Air Defense Exercises Nationwide.

Essential Job Functions:

* Working knowledge of NORAD and AOC Operations and the ability to Role Play command elements.

* Participate with Air Force, Army and contract personnel using Joint Air Defense Operation Center's (JADOC) mission systems.

* Working knowledge of US Army Air Defense Systems centering on Ground Based Air Defense.

* Knowledge of the Tactical Display Framework (TDF) System

* Provides technical and operational subject matter expertise in NORAD C4ISR / Battle Management

* Supports development of tools and applications to improve the JADOC operational mission

* Plans and coordinates training and exercise support for NORAD Exercise events as needed

* Submit recommendations to the Project Lead on improvements to training for an entire operational system, or for an individual.


* Ability to Role play NORAD command elements via telephone during Live and Simulated exercises

* Ability serve as an member on an Operations Floor in C2 Operator Positions.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write reports, correspondence, procedure manuals, or CONOPS/CONEMP.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

* Good interpersonal skills.

* Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

* Ability to manage time, personnel and other resources.

* Assure compliance with program goals, policies and procedures.

* Develop and execute contingency and risk mitigation plans to address changing program needs.

* Use discretion and independent judgement.


* Operational Air Battle Management Background, NORAD/AOC/AWACS Experience


* Required: BA/BS

* Yrs of exp in iieu of degree: 10 years in related area


* Must be capable of physically working in an office environment or under field conditions

* Must be capable of effectively communicating with both customers and supporting staff.

* Must be capable of, and willing to travel to support execution of a customer program
