Business Unit/Global Function Description

Ally's Treasury Department is a key component of our funding strategy that continues to build a World Class culture that engages a vibrant team of professionals that contribute to the growth and development of Ally. Ally's Treasury Department includes Capital Management, Balance Sheet Management, Funding and Liquidity, Structured Funding, Treasury/Capital Markets Operations, and Treasury Program Management. Our Treasury professionals are responsible for effectively managing the balance sheet, capital and ensuring that our organization supports profitability and growth.

Role Overview:

The BSM forecast team is responsible for forecasting the balance sheet and net interest income for the company. This forecast is an input into the interest rate risk management team in balance sheet management team as well as into the corporate earnings forecast. The NII forecast team is organized in two teams, one focusing on the asset side of the balance sheet and the other, liabilities and liquidity.

The primary responsibility of the liability team is forecasting balance sheet levels and income for liability balances including retail and brokered deposits, structured funding, FHLB borrowings, cash and other liability and equity balances.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Support forecast modeling using analytics software (QRM), owning and understanding inputs and output

* Work closely with all lines of business across Ally, various finance teams, and internal BSM and Treasury teams for assumptions and analytics

* Perform monthly Long Term Liquidity Forecast

* Conduct variance analysis of actual NII versus forecast

* Responsible for consolidation and reporting efforts to support the weekly, month end, and ALCO forecast deliverables

* Perform periodic updates to the forecast to assess changes in interest rates (forward curve)

* Strategic and ad-hoc analysis as needed

Requirements:

* 4 year Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related area

* 5+ years related working experience, preferably in financial industry

* Proven, strong attention to detail

* Strong technical skills, specifically in Excel

* Fast aptitude to learn software programs

* Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools

* Good organizational skills

* Excellent communication and presentation skills

* Strong ethics, accountability, and work aptitude

* Team player and also ability to self-start and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

* QRM, SAP, Eagle or SAS Experience

* Knowledge and experience in funding and liquidity management

* Understanding of interest rate indexes and forward curves
