In this role you will:

The Family Specialists provide compassionate, recovery based, and trauma informed services that are in line with the traditional practice framework. Family Specialist engages in discussions and activities based on collaboration and uses assertive engagement strategies to engage individuals in services.

What qualifications do you need:

+ NYS LMSW, LMFT, LMHC or a mental health practitioner with a Limited Permit.

+ Obtain QHP -Qualified Health Professional status within 90 days of employment, if hired with a limited permit. Must have Masters Degree completed in order to be considered.

+ Must have at least one experience working in a community- based setting with adolescents and/or adults experiencing a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder and Mental Illness.

+ Extensive knowledge of harm reduction and a commitment to providing services to individuals in various stages of their recovery.

+ This role does require working within a family population.
