DePuy Synthes, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is hiring a Manager to lead our Robotics Software Verification efforts.
As the Software Verification Manager, working in the Back Bay area of Boston, MA, you will lead and own the efforts of our surgical robotics software test team and other specialists to bring to market products of the highest quality and commercial potential. You will work alongside other leaders on multiple software development teams to align on a detailed test development and software verification approach.
Core Job Responsibilities
+ Provide technical and verification process leadership for the test engineering team in our world class robotics organization
+ Agile leadership with cross-disciplinary teams, encouraging low barriers between groups and individuals
+ Development of a test engineering strategy as it relates to verification and validation of medical device software and system integration testing
+ Mentor team members to write and implement test strategy to ensure test cases meet provided requirements and acceptance criteria
+ Effective testing of applications during the Software Development Lifecycle including design, implementation, and execution
+ Ensuring the consistent use of our Quality Management System processes and tools to document software verification protocols, integration test plans, and formal test results
+ BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
+ Understanding of industry standards and regulations including, but not limited to as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 62366-1
+ Solid understanding of structured test software platforms and software design including proficiency in software development for test automation
+ 8 years of proven experience working on new product development, with at least 3 years directly managing software test engineers
+ Advanced degree in engineering or similar field
+ Experience with Siemens Polarion or any similar defect tracking tool
+ Familiarity with common programming languages such as C++, C#
+ Experience defining software development and delivery lifecycles within a project and implementing CI/CD processes
+ Knowledge of robotic control architecture

+ This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel
