Job Description:


The SDx Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for supporting all integration and test activities at L3Harris laboratories and customer facilities to resolve defects and ensure compliant system functionality. This includes support for the full F-35 TR3 family of programs—Aircraft Memory System (AMS), Panoramic Cockpit Display (PCD), and Integrated Core Processor (ICP)—thr oughout the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase and transition to production. The SDx Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for developing integration plans, hardware / software integration of high performance custom and COTs hardware, sub-system integration, and positively interacting with customers to solve technical problems and identify areas to improve their work.


Job Responsibilities include the following:


+ Perform hardware/software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation


+ Develop large scale test and integration strategies, plans and procedures


+ Perform system integration and test of high performance custom aerospace embedded software, hardware, and networks


+ Perform debug and troubleshooting; lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and track corrective actions to ensure defect is successfully resolved


+ Develop, integrate, setup and maintains test equipment required for a functional and performance test environments


+ Provides onsite integration, upgrades, updates, repairs, troubleshooting, and planned maintenance service


+ Develops verification plans, test procedures, execute test procedures and document test results to ensure system requirements are met.


Qualifications:


+ Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering and 4 years’ experience, OR, Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.


+ Experience with Integration and test experience on complex military systems with a focus on mission computing, memory systems, and/or displays.


+ Experience configuring and troubleshooting server class computing resources (i.e. blades and custom embedded processors)


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Active Security Clearance highly preferred


+ Experience with network and digital test equipment


+ Experience developing and integrating test tools and scripts


+ Experience configuring, maintain, and troubleshooting network architectures to include physical and virtual environments


+ An understanding of embedded software fundamentals and the ability to code, integrate, and troubleshoot.


+ Background in digital engineering (FPGAs, CCAs, PWBs, etc.) and troubleshooting techniques, tools, and process.


+ Experience with DevSecOps pipeline and tools


+ Experience with avionic bus technologies including Fibre Channel, 1553, 1394, and ethernet


+ Has conducted customer verification on Military/Civil specifications such as DO256, DO160, and DO178C.


+ Has worked previously on a fighter jet or aircraft computing processor.


+ Experience developing test suites and tools with Linux and other POSIX operating systems


+ Experience with National Instruments Test Stand


+ Experience with executing throughout the full Avionics lifecycle including requirements flow down and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off.


+ Network Security Technology to include encryption, multi-level security, information guards, cross-domain solutions, and firewalls


+ An understanding of direct memory access (DMA) at the network layer technology (i.e. PCIe, RoCE V2.0, and InfiniBand)


+ Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)


+ Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers.
