WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Inspector for our Albany office.

**Your Impact**

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Review plans, shop drawings and approved submittals for construction.

+ Perform QC/QA inspections of contractor operations for conformance to plans, proposals and specifications.

+ Perform testing and sampling of materials and products used in construction. Ensure compliance with approved materials/specs.

+ Reviewing site conditions, material placement, adherence to safety plan.

+ Writing detailed daily inspection reports including in place measurements, as-built sketches, quantity calculations and tracking of manpower/resources.

+ Work in a variety of weather conditions

+ Night work and weekend work possible

**Who You Are**

**Required Qualifications**

+ Minimum 9 years of experience of inspection work on heavy highway projects

+ High School Diploma

+ NICET III Certification

+ ACI certification.

+ OSHA Safety training

+ Ability to read plans /specs and prepare written contract administration documentation such as daily narratives (work reports), controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.

+ Keep track of work in place totals for all items of work including contract work, unit price work, extra work, and time and material work on a daily basis.

+ Working knowledge of SiteManager.

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Advise senior staff of potential differences in field conditions and overruns.

+ Willingness to work nights and weekends

+ Drivers license and ability to commute to project sites

+ NETTCP Certifications are a plus.

+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

+ This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
