Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Manager to work directly with the Firm's business practice group chairs, subgroup chairs and key members of the practice at large to identify and lead the marketing, client service and business development efforts of the firm-wide practice and select sub-practice groups. This role will increase visibility, awareness, and business opportunity coordination between all lawyers in assigned practice and/or subgroups. It will supervise Marketing Managers, Administrators, Coordinators and other Marketing staff as assigned, who will carry out the day-to-day marketing needs of the practice. This role will focus on driving the high-level strategic marketing initiatives outlined in the practice and subgroup business plans, in line with the goals in the firm strategic plan. This position will collaborate with all areas within the marketing department to provide high-value client service.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

* Provide the practice group leaders with regular reporting on marketing and business development goals and measure results based on data collected through various sources. Data sources include firm financial databases/teams, client feedback program, event ROI reports, PR activity, web analytics and various client touchpoints.

* Develop an in-depth understanding of the firm-wide practice and related sub-practices. Deeply understand core clients and client targets by conducting competitive and business intelligence using various tools, and leveraging internal and external experts.

* Lead the marketing and business development components of the practice group's (and subgroups') business plans. Collaborate with the broader marketing team and key operational teams, including Practice Management, Professional Development, Knowledge Management and others to execute on identified initiatives as defined in the business plans.

* Work together with the Business Development team on lead generation and business development efforts as identified in the business plan, honing focus on client targets.

* Develop and drive client feedback initiatives, supporting the firm's interview program and piloting the after-matter feedback initiative.

* Coordinate across the Events and Public Relations teams to establish a targeted and comprehensive marketing and visibility plan to increase brand awareness for the assigned practice groups.

* Working in conjunction with the proposals team, provide subject matter expertise for RFPs and pitches where relevant.

Specific Skills Required:

Strong abilities in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Must be detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize. Ability to manage large- and small-scale events. Ability to work with all levels of personnel and diplomatically interact with difficult personalities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Problem solver. Successful team player. Strong people skills.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; advanced degree (MS, MA, MBA, JD or other relevant graduate degree) highly desirable. A minimum of 12 years of experience in legal or professional services required. General understanding of the law profession business model is preferred
