Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field; three years' experience in scientific or experimental research work. Experience with non-viral transfection methods for human cells, T cell culture and flow cytometry strongly preferred

Salary Range: $39,200 - $49,000 - $58,800

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Senior Research Assistant position is to perform cell processing, cryopreservation and characterization of genetically modified ex-vivo expanded T-cells in a cGLP setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Laboratory Procedures: Assists with the manufacture of T-cell products according to cGLP guidelines.

Assist with characterization of T-cells using flow cytometry. Develops Certificates of Analysis for cellular products. Responsible for all technical aspects of test performance, evaluation of technical quality, and supervision of subordinate technical personnel (e.g. students, junior technicians, etc.) in the translational research laboratory.

Interpersonal: Verbally instructs, and visually demonstrates to new personnel and students the proper performance of all Standard Operating procedures.

Administrative: Maintaining an up-to-data, organized, accurate, and legible lab notebook that records all experiments and tests in detail.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.

Preferred: Master's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Three years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.

Preferred: Experience with non-viral transfection methods for human cells, T cell culture and flow cytometry.
