Northrop Grumman SSSD has an opening for a **Staff Facilities Engineer (Senior Project Manager)** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach.

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and ensuring the successful execution of major building/facilities expansion and upgrade projects. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, taking responsibility for safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance for activities undertaken in support of SSSD’s major Programs.

In this role you will be also responsible for the leadership of engineering staff, advising on construction best practices, including city and state code requirements. Senior staff will mentor graduates and new team members, ensuring they are provide coaching and opportunities so to ensure the team is continually strengthened.

For major projects, you will maintain oversight of A&E Design firms, leading internal design reviews, and developing Rough Order of Magnitude estimates as needed. Concerning construction, you will assist in completing bid analysis, and lead the management of construction contracts so to achieve timely project completion and successful handover to the Programs.

Additional knowledge of budgeting and forecasting expenditures is preferred.

_Essential Functions:_

+ _Create and maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with Senior Program stakeholders_

+ _Devise contract and execution strategies for multi-phase and multi-year projects_

+ _Lead studies and concept level investigations of expansion/development opportunities_

+ _Conduct process analysis in order to identify areas of improvement and lead change implementation_

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ 14 years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters (Appropriate combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)

+ Experience with facilities project management and/or construction management with the strong capability to review designs and/or specifications

+ Experience with infrastructure construction for laboratories, manufacturing, and/or office

+ Oversight of multiple or simultaneous projects

+ Experience with contract drafting and/or negotiation, including conducting construction surveillance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience in developing and/or reviewing project statements of work and coordinating with stakeholders

+ Knowledge of ICD 705 construction requirements

+ Knowledge of cleanroom design and construction

+ Knowledge of building HAVC systems and industrial sized plants for central service supply

+ Active DoD Top Secret clearance or active SCI access

+ Strong background in mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), fire systems, lighting and building control systems

+ Knowledge of Maximo, SharePoint and/or Archibus

+ Strong background in infrastructure design and maintenance.

Salary Range: $141,800.00 - $212,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
