General Function:

* Working supervisor that schedules work hours and directs the daily activities of all stockroom personnel, including Shipping, Receiving, Riggers, and Raw Materials/Saw Operations for all shifts.

* Resolves issues concerning general stockroom functions, such as vendor discrepancies, inventory accuracy, over/short and damages, along with return authorizations.

* Ensures schedules for shipments are maintained to meet OTD (on-time delivery). Act as Export Compliance Coordinator assuring correct documentation and procedures are followed and maintained.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Coordinates and assists with stockroom pick lists for spares and machine orders to insure on-time delivery goals.

* Coordinates and assist shipments and receivables per procedures, including accurate entry into Belvac inventory.

* Responsible for accuracy of all inventory locations, assuring properly identified parts, and consolidation of inventory items within Stockroom or other inventory locations, such as external warehousing.

* Coordinates and assist shipment of parts to subcontract suppliers.

* Responsible for inventory accuracy, providing error analysis, corrective programs, cycle counts, etc. to achieve inventory accuracy objectives.

* Assure packaging and preservation techniques, as defined, are followed, both incoming and outgoing.

* Responsible for on-time release of machine work orders and kits, to their various locations by the assembly start date.

* Responsible for providing manager with performance to due date reports and any associated non-compliance issues.

* Responsible for accurate transactions of material moves in the MRP system to complete work orders & jobs.

* Responsible for proper documentation and transactions of shipments, both domestic and international, to assure compliance.

* Provides RootCause/Corrective Actions, as needed for continuous improvement & adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley program policies.

* Import & Export knowledge of Harmonized Tariff and Commodity Codes, NAFTA, and other transportation regulations a plus.

* Transportation, Freight, and traffic management with application of all relevant commercial carrier requirements to assure timely delivery a plus.

Education: B.S. Degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management.


Minimum of 5 - 10 years Stockroom/Shipping/Receiving supervisory, or related experience in a leadership role, in a manufacturing production environment.

In depth knowledge of Lean Sigma Tools (5S, Waste Elimination, Pull Production, Visual Management, Standard Work, DMAIC, etc.). Experience leading Kaizen Events or Continuous Improvement Teams to improve processes and resolve issues.

Must possess strong computer skills, excel, word, and business operating systems. Good communications skills and demonstrated leadership ability required.

Physical Requirements

Although all production areas have overhead cranes, on occasion Manufacturing, Stockroom and Assembly employees may choose to lift items by hand for convenience.
