WSP is currently initiating a search for an Engineer I for our Cleveland, Ohio office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural engineering design tasks for engineering studies through final construction bid documents for a variety of different types of exciting projects!
  • Prepare quantity calculations and construction cost estimates
  • Prepare design calculations for geometry and varies structural design tasks
  • Provide CADD support for plan preparation
  • Utilize structural engineering design software including MDX, LEAP Bridge, LARSA and CSI Bridge
  • Periodic structural inspections/evaluations
  • Collaboration within project teams and mentor-protege relationships with senior staff to help develop your career

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Desire to learn CADD, including Bentley and/or Autodesk products, along with associated structural engineering design software
  • Ability to learn AASHTO, State DOT, or AREMA Criteria and Standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • E.I.T. Certification
  • Knowledge of CADD, AASHTO, State DOT, or AREMA Criteria and Standards
  • Experience on transportation/bridge design projects
