Amica Insurance located in Lincoln, RI is seeking interns for our Corporate Information Systems Department. This is a paid internship and the working hours are 37.50 hours per week during the summer with the possibility of continuing employment during the school year.
Amica has created an internship program that is an excellent way for students to receive hands-on experience
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform application development activities including analysis, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation.
Training will be provided.
Upon successful completion of an internship, candidates will be considered for full time employment.
Enrolled in an IT Bachelors degree program at an accredited college/university and are currently in their junior or senior year.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Applicants should have the desire to work in a technical field.
The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be well-organized and have the ability to work in a team environment.
Any basic coding skills
Python or any other scripting language such as PowerShell is a plus.
Familiarity with SQL and databases
Exposure to web-based technologies and database concepts is a plus.
Flexibility and the willingness to work with packaged software solutions are also beneficial.
